Downtown District Launches DowntownHouston.TV

Downtown District, in partnership with Zen Film, has launched DowntownHouston.TV where you will find original and entertaining programming connecting you to the center of Houston.

Our initial series will include Destination Downtown: day trips into the city and events that are uniquely Houston; The Downtowners: interesting and cool mini biopics about the cast of characters that call downtown Houston home; and Downtown 101: a comical, satiric yet factual and educational users guide for downtown.

Visual storytelling is our mission.  So many people have a perception about downtown-- it could be even from 20 years ago-- of a place that is not vibrant, fun, green, accessible or cool.  Well, downtown has changed A LOT.  Hopefully these videos will give people a peek into what's happening and even encourage them to come down and see for themselves.

To date, we have three episodes of DTTV produced-- a very fun piece on Saint Arnold's One Pot Show Down (they just moved to the northern edge of downtown, you know!) and two resident episodes.  I promise you will want Jack and Ruth Elvig to adopt you and fall in love with little Sebastian, Alma Del Toro and Clint Ford's baby boy.

Others in the queue are a episode on the Buffalo Bayou Regatta, the recent Shell Eco-marathon and the ultimate fan experience with the Houston Astros-- coming soon.

We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.  On our site, you will also find other great videos produced by our friends at Zen such as the recent Ford Fiesta promotion that showcases Houston hotspots and the Ton Tons music video that was shot at House of Blues!
