Downtown Houston’s annual fashion show, Haute Town… Summer in the City, is back… and with a vengeance. This year's showcase will feature more retailers, more restaurants and more cocktails to cool off this hot night. Guests will enjoy complimentary cuisine and cocktails amidst the rarely combined setting of leafy live oaks, palm trees, bright city lights and skyscrapers on the pool deck of downtown’s Four Seasons Hotel. Generous tastes provided by Quattro, Andalucia Tapas, Mia Bella, Guadalajara del Centro, Massa’s Seafood Grill, Cork Wine Bar and Polk Street Pub with summery drinks from Patron to wash it all down.
Neal Hamil models will strut the poolside runway in downtown’s finest fashions from BCBGMAXAZRIA, XXI Forever, Macy’s, Jos A. Bank and Houston Pavilions’ newest men’s clothing store, Roice Italia (opening Fall 2010) while DJ Derek Jones spins his magic on the turntables.
The date is May 15 and the evening gets underway at 7 p.m. and the fashions start moving at 8:30 p.m. After the party, it’s the after-party and you won’t want to miss it. QBAR at Four Seasons Hotel will be waiting for you with arms wide open (try not to hold this Creed reference against me) and sounds from DJ Dayta will play until 1 a.m.
Ticket prices are $30 until May 10 and $40 afterwards; Houston Downtown Alliance members are $30. VIP tickets are $100 each and include reserved poolside lounging, front row fashion show viewing and complimentary bottle service. Tickets are available at www.houstondowntownalliance.com and by phone at 713.658.8938. All levels include complimentary cuisine from downtown’s finest restaurants, complimentary cocktails & wine and free entry to the after-party at QBAR.
Kick off this new season with a healthy dose of downtown. We know good and well, despite our hoping and praying, summer is right around the corner.
Haute Town… Summer in the City is presented by Houston Downtown Alliance, Four Seasons Hotel Houston, Houston Area Cadillac Dealers, Houston Pavilions, Shops at Houston Center and Neal Hamil Models. A portion of the proceeds benefit Houston Downtown Improvement, Inc. which includes Houston Theater District, Emerging Leaders, Houston Young People for the Arts and other initiatives to make downtown an enjoyable place to live, work and play.
