Salsa Fest Contest: Win Two 3-day Passes!

Salsa Fest is bringing big names to Jones Plaza this weekend. The festival features 9 bands, 10 concerts and more than 75 musicians representing more than 10 countries! Music tributes to Rubén Blades, Celia Cruz, Oscar D’Leon y Joe Arroyo.

Special guests include salsa superstar José Alberto ‘El Canario’ of Puerto Rice and Grammy-Award Winner Ramón Dario Benitez of Colombia.

UH- Downtown will be on hand teaching attendees how to shake it with their high-energy salsa workshops.

Salsa Fest helps to raise funds for Flamart’s and FMM’s Arts Education Programs that include: Instruments in SchoolsI (initiative that provides funds for the purchase and/or repair of music instruments), Salsa y Salud (free dance classes and health and wellness lectures with the culminating event taking place at Miller Outdoor Theatre), Navidad Latina (at the Museum of Fine Arts), Introductions (a program that showcases the music of local young composers), Music for Peace (at Rothko Chapel).
