It’s that time of year again! I know what you all are thinking:

Well, OK, yeah that too. But also (and this is way more exciting, I promise), it’s the 18^th Capital One Bank Theater District Open House!!!!! This Sunday, August 28th from noon until four, all of us here at the Theater District will throw open our doors and welcome you into our humble abodes. And we couldn’t be more excited to have ya!

The Alley Theatre, Jones Hall, Wortham Theater Center and the Hobby Center will be showing you the best of what they have to offer. From meet-and-greets, backstage tours, an instrumental petting zoo, arts and crafts and live performances, we've got it all so come and experience the Houston theater scene like you never have before. Plus, since we know you’re gonna like us so much, many arts groups will be selling package deals and discounts for the season!

EVERYONE is going to be there and when I say everyone I mean, Houston Ballet, Society for the Performing Arts, Da Camera of Houston, the Alley Theater, Gexa Energy on Broadway at the Hobby Center, Houston Symphony, Theater under the Stars, Uniquely Houston and the Houston Grand Opera.

And it. Gets. Better.

IT’S ALL FREE! No tickets and no reservations are required! Come on, does it get any better than that?

Lose the back to school blues and beat the heat (sorry guys, I sat here for a while trying to think of a good ending but the clichés are all I have this afternoon) and pack up the family and come downtown. We can’t wait to see you!
