METRO Services
METRO's expansive public transit network includes 108 bus routes with nearly 9,000 stops, along with 22.9 miles of METRORail linking Downtown to destinations like the East End, Museum District, Texas Medical Center and NRG Park—all for just $1.25.

METRORail in Downtown
Skip the parking hassle and ride METRORail to get into and across Downtown quickly.
Red Line (North-South):
Travel across Downtown in under 10 minutes. Six Downtown stops connect you to major destinations like the Historic District, Trebly Park and Downtown Transit Center.
Green & Purple Lines (East-West):
Shared tracks serve three stops in each direction, linking you to the Theater District, Discovery Green, George R. Brown Convention Center, and Shell Energy Stadium just east of Downtown.
Downtown to IAH — Direct METRO Service
Take the fast, affordable option for your travel needs.
METRO's 500 IAH Downtown Direct line offers nonstop service between Downtown and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).
- Runs daily, every 30 minutes from 5:30am to 8pm
- Connects George R. Brown Convention Center to IAH Terminal C
- Just $4.50 one way
- Easy access to METRORail Green and Purple lines
