The popular Underground Sounds series in the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern returns! This year, the series features national and international artists presenting compositions inspired by the vast, unique architecture of the Cistern and arranged especially for its extraordinary natural acoustics.

Tickets for the first performance series are now on sale. Catch Australian-born trumpet player, composer, and sound artist Sam Nester's site-specific composition for brass ensemble from March 13 - 16. Designed to resonate within the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern, Nester's piece unfolds within the space's cathedral-like acoustics, meditating on the element of water and its profound significance.
