What places do you love the most in Downtown Houston? What do you most enjoy doing there? Where would you like to see investment to make your experience more comfortable and enjoyable?

When it comes to how Downtown Houston+ and our partners connect and invest in our public spaces, your opinion matters! Following the great first workshop we held back in August, the team has held strategic focus groups and has conducted an extensive study of public life in Downtown. The insights from these efforts have crystallized into a preliminary set of proposed strategies that will be shared at this open house for feedback.

Join us from 4pm-7pm on Wednesday, December 4 at Discovery Green and share your thoughts, big and small, about what you want to see in Downtown's public spaces.

This Open House is a part of a six-month process to create a Downtown Houston Public Realm Action Plan.

What's the goal of the Public Realm Action Plan?

A strategy and set of specific projects for a more vibrant, connected, and comfortable Downtown. When the Action Plan is completed in January 2025, Downtown Houston+ and partners will have new ideas inspired by YOU for new public spaces and new ways to enhance and connect our existing public parks and plazas, stadiums, and the many destinations we love in Downtown.

This is a process led by Downtown Houston+, Downtown Houston partners, and an urban strategy team that includes Gehl, Agora Partners, and Outside Voices.
