About the Artist

Gbenga Ayeni is a Houston-based Nigerian multidisciplinary artist, he utilizes the disciplines of drawing, painting, graphic design, film, photography, sculpture and installation. His practice explores migration, identity, cultural memory, and the human condition through visual storytelling and material experimentation.

Since moving to Houston he has been active in the local art scene and has contributed to a variety of community programs. Ayeni has demonstrated a history of service for the community through his commitment to artistic production, offering expertise, and engaging with the community.
