Artist: Charis Ammon

Ammon often asks, "Where do you go when you are on your way?" The medial spaces of her day give her time to reflect. The distortions of her view through the windshield speak to her sense of limited sight on matters in life. A period of not knowing can hold a beauty of its own.

About the Artist

Charis Ammon (b. 1992, Dallas, TX) is a Brooklyn-based artist whose paintings capture the shifting rhythms of urban life. Drawing from experiences as a pedestrian and passenger across New York and Texas, her work reframes overlooked spaces, revealing moments of connection within everyday environments.

She has participated in group exhibitions nationwide, and her work is included in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Ammon lives and works in Brooklyn.
