About the Artist
Charis Ammon (b. 1992, Dallas, TX) is a Brooklyn-based artist whose paintings capture the shifting rhythms of urban life. Drawing from experiences as a pedestrian and passenger across New York and Texas, her work reframes overlooked spaces, revealing moments of connection within everyday environments.
Ammon holds a BFA from Texas State University and an MFA from the University of Houston. Her work has been exhibited at Sargent’s Daughters, Inman Gallery, and Art League Houston, among others. She has participated in group exhibitions nationwide, and her work is included in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Ammon lives and works in Brooklyn.
