Discovery Green and Wonky Powerhelp Houston’s talented musicians and the city’s live music lovers find each other this fall. The month of August, Houston bands are invited to nominate themselves to play the Discover Houston Music Showcase. Houstonians will vote for their favorites and decide which six bands will play the showcase on Nov 4. The event is supported by the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and the Houston Music Advisory Board. KPFT is the official radio sponsor.
