March Madness is heating up, and the Houston Cougars are gearing up for their Round 2 showdown! Houston First Corporation (HFC) joins the University of Houston (UH) to host a free watch party @ Avenida Houston for Houstonians and visitors to cheer on the top-seed University of Houston Cougars.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, March 21
Time: Festivities begin at 3:40 p.m. | Game time at 5:10 p.m.

Get ready for an afternoon packed with excitement. Bring your yard chairs and blankets, or just take a seat on the plaza. The game will be broadcast live on a massive 20-foot screen, with additional screens placed around the venue, so you’ll never miss a moment of the action.

The watch party will be buzzing with energy all day long, with something for everyone:

Spirit of Houston – Get swept up in Cougar pride with live performances from our renowned band, cheerleaders, and mascots.
KHOU 11 Emcee – A lively host from KHOU 11 will keep the energy high all night long.
Live DJ – Music will pump up the crowd from pregame through the final buzzer.
Games & Challenges – Test your skills, compete with friends, and win great prizes.
Selfie Stations – Capture the moment and share your Cougar spirit online.

Avenida Houston, downtown’s center of entertainment, is in front of the George R. Brown Convention Center, across from Discovery Green. This watch party is free and open to the public.

Parking: In the Avenida North and Avenida South parking garages located at each end of the George R. Brown Convention Center.
