Houston’s first downtown Mardi Gras celebration is set to make a big splash at the East Downtown’s Chapman & Kirby. The private event venue and restaurant plans to host its inaugural LAMARdi Gras event on Saturday, February 10 from 12 - 6 p.m. The name comes from its location – located on Lamar Street and the inspiration comes from its passion for hosting lively and energetic events that customers can enjoy.

With festive purple, green and gold and an abundance of beads, the LAMARdi celebration will be reminiscent of the streets of New Orleans during the legendary carnival season. There will be an action-packed line up of musical guests including Zydeco Dots from 12:00 - 2:30 p.m., DJ Blue from 2:30-3:30 p.m., and Nick and the Hits from 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.
