Opening Night at Green Mountain Energy Ice

Kick off the season at Green Mountain Energy Ice at Discovery Green! The first 50 people in line at 5 p.m. skate for free. Forever Green members skate for free from 5 – 7 p.m. Plus, be among the first to see Atlas by Jen Lewin. The newest winter art installation along the Brown Promenade is open for viewing for the first time this evening. Entertainment is provided by the winners of the Discover Houston Music showcase on the Anheuser-Busch stage from 7 – 10 pm. The Lake House will be serving classic American fare such as burgers, salads and tacos.

Monday – Thursday 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Fridays 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Saturday & HISD School Holidays* 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Sunday 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Thanksgiving Day 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Christmas Day & New Year’s Day 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Martin Luther King Day (Jan. 20) 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Note:
*HISD School Holidays are (Nov. 25 - 29; Dec. 23 - 31; Jan. 1 - 6 & 20)
** Green Mountain Energy Ice will be closed on Nov. 16. The rink closes at 4 p.m. Dec. 8, will be open regular hours on Dec. 9 and opens on Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.
Special Skaters nights (Dec. 3 & Jan. 28, 5 – 8 p.m.) are exclusively for skaters with disabilities and their families.
The Ice Rink is closed on November 16.
Tickets:
• All tickets must be purchased online in advance at www.discoverygreen.com/ice. Tickets will not be available for purchase on site. Please purchase tickets before paying for parking. If weather forces the closure of the rink, ticket holders will be emailed and allowed to reschedule.
• Cost is $18 plus tax (includes skate rentals, for 75 minutes). Sales support the Discovery Green Conservancy. Thank you!
