Downtown Houston+ debuts a digital, immersive light and sound spectacular at Allen’s Landing. Reflecting in the water and projected onto a four-story tall, six-story wide water screen, Snow Glow is a unique holiday destination perfect for families, friends or a festive night out. 

Our featured artists include:

• HOU-SCOPIC by Meg Cook and Krista Leigh Steinke: Professors at Texas A&M University’s College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Art—and proud Houstonians—these artists explore the intersection of the microscopic and the cosmic. Their work features circular orbs that morph in and out of focus, evoking Christmas ornaments, snow globe particles, starry galaxies and bubbling forms floating in space.
• Bright Lights by Sherman Finch: A hybrid artist, designer and teacher, Finch uses creative coding and an original music composition to craft a pulsating visual spectacle. The piece draws inspiration from the bright lights of Houston’s skyline, creating a dazzling display of light and sound in perfect harmony.
• Frost Prisma (God Rest Ye) by Hank Kalleen: A Downtown resident and accomplished audio mixing and mastering engineer, Kalleen takes inspiration from the natural symmetry of snowflakes to create a kaleidoscopic visual journey. The animation transforms familiar snowflake shapes into abstract forms, morphing and swirling in mesmerizing patterns. This visual display is paired with Kalleen’s modernized rendition of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, a timeless melody reimagined with a fresh, contemporary twist.

Snow Glow can be experienced from multiple vantage points such as the bayou’s banks or trails.
