The Heritage Society proudly celebrates its fifth year partnering with the League of Women Voters Houston (LWVH) for our annual Women’s Equality Day program—this year presented through the lens of 250 Years of Women’s History, complementing the America 250 theme. This evening’s program highlights the undertold stories of the women who helped build America, from early civic pioneers to modern leaders shaping Houston’s democratic landscape.

🎤 Our speakers—Priscila True, President of LWVH; Nancy Sims, political consultant and University of Houston lecturer; Eve Myers, VP of Study & Advocacy of LWVH; and Rae Bryant, founder of the Houston Suffragists Project—will explore the often overlooked contributions of women whose work, advocacy, and leadership helped define the nation across generations. Their insights illuminate how women’s roles in civic life, public service, and community building have been essential to America’s story.

Refreshments and light bites generously provided by the League of Women Voters Houston.
