From high art to fun and frolic, nine world-class performing arts organizations live here. The curtain rises on the Alley Theatre, Jones Hall, Wortham Theater Center, the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts and the 713 Music Hall at POST Houston. Only five U.S. cities (H’town being one) can boast permanent professional resident companies in each major discipline: ballet, opera, symphony and theater.
