Become a Street Performer in Downtown Houston
Downtown Houston+ is seeking talented artists, musicians, and performers from all genres and talents to activate Downtown destinations, including parks and other specially programmed locations across the District.
This program aims to spotlight local performers who contribute to Downtown Houston’s vibrant culture, supporting our mission to make Downtown a more connected and thriving place for everyone.
This application is the first step toward joining a curated roster of featured performers who will receive promotional exposure and financial compensation (plus tips!).

Approved applicants will be contacted by a member of the Programming & Events team and will review next steps.

Current Activations
This program is currently centered around two recurring weekly activations and complementing gameday activations. Performers will earn $50 per hour or at the discretion of Downtown Houston+.
Midday on Main – Tuesdays, 11am to 1pm at The Finn or by Mendocino Farms
- Brings live entertainment to the Promenade during one of Downtown's busiest pedestrian periods.
Good Times on Main: Happy Hour – Thursdays, 4pm to 7pm at Kiam Building.
- Creates an inviting atmosphere that encourages employees to remain downtown for happy hours.
Game Day Activations – See Main St. Programming breakdown for dates.
- Capitalizes on high pedestrian traffic and complements the efforts of the bars and businesses activating for game days.
