Honor loved ones with Día de los Muertos festivities in Downtown
This year, Downtown Houston sets the stage to gather, celebrate life and honor loved ones during Día de los Muertos.
Festivities stretch across four days throughout Downtown with parades, music, art, film, family fun and opportunities to add to our community ofrenda all weekend long.

Día de los Muertos in Downtown Houston

Blanket Bingo + Community Ofrenda Unveiling
Market Square Park | Thursday, October 30 | 6-9pm
Blanket Bingo gets a Día de los Muertos twist!
Play nine rounds for $10 with music, prizes and festive fun all night. The evening also marks the unveiling of our community ofrenda, where you can honor loved ones and departed furry friends with free photo printing.
The ofrenda will remain on view at the park through Monday, November 3!
Free to attend; $10 to play!

Family Movie Night: Coco
Trebly Park | Friday, October 31 | 6-9pm (film begins at 7pm)
Bring the family for a screening of Pixar's Coco under the stars!
Enjoy free popcorn, candy, face painting, and meet-and-greets with characters before the movie begins.

Una Noche en Market Square Park presented by H-E-B
Market Square Park | Friday, October 31 | 7-10pm
Celebrate the spirit of Día de los Muertos with mariachi, ballet folklórico, live music, face painting and art workshops.
Guests can also contribute to the community ofrenda with free photo printing.
Free!

5th Annual Houston Día de Muertos Parade & Festival
Sam Houston Park | Saturday, November 1 | 4-11pm
Step into the 5th Annual Día de Muertos Festival with a heartfelt parade through the streets of Downtown Houston.
Celebrate life and honor loved ones with live music, delicious food, arts and crafts, and family-friendly fun.

Día de los Muertos at Discovery Green
Discovery Green | Sunday, November 2 | 3-7pm
Enjoy an afternoon filled with art, performances, and Tejas Roots Music with Nick Gaitan.
Add a memento to the ofrenda created by local artist Ángel Quesada, and don't miss the debut Catrina y Catrin Contest.

Community Ofrenda at Market Square Park
On view from Thursday, October 30 through Monday, November 3
Our community ofrenda will be on display all weekend long at Market Square Park.
Visitors are invited to share in the tradition by contributing photos, memories or tokens throughout the weekend—or come out to one of Market Square's events to take advantage of free photo printing.
Please do not leave original photos as they will not be returned.
Storefront Día de los Muertos Décor Contest
Downtown businesses are also joining the celebration through a Día de los Muertos storefront décor contest.
