The Downtown Houston Economic Dashboard is updated one month after the end of each quarter and includes interactive pages of information covering key indicators, pedestrian counts, the office market, hospitality, housing, and development taking place across the District.

Q1 2026: The Stories Behind the Data

This quarter brought together the themes shaping Downtown Houston this year: major event-driven visitation, renewed office leasing momentum, and continued investment in projects designed to improve connectivity, comfort and street-level activity. 

March especially offered an early test for this summer's World Cup crowds, while activity at properties like 811 Main, 1000 Main and residential communities near Daikin Park showed how location, walkability and amenities continue to shape Downtown's real estate story.
